The composition and working principle of LCD screens.

Composition: The liquid crystal display mainly consists of a backlight panel, a lower polarizer, a liquid crystal substrate, an upper polarizer, and a color filter.
Working principle: The liquid crystal display uses a liquid crystal solution between two sheets of polarizing material. When current passes through the liquid, it causes the crystals to rearrange, thereby changing the light's transmission state to achieve imaging. Specifically, after light passes through the lower polarizer, only horizontally polarized light can pass through. Under the influence of an electric field, the liquid crystal molecules align vertically according to the direction of the electric field, preventing the light from being distorted or refracted. By adjusting the charge on the liquid crystal substrate, it is possible to control how much light reaches each color filter, thus presenting different colors on the display.
